Home / Replacement parts

Replacement parts for things nobody sells anymore.

Snapped clip, cracked knob, lost battery cover, discontinued bracket. Send us photos or the broken part and we'll design and 3D print a replacement that fits.

Why replace the part instead of the whole thing?

A $2 piece of plastic breaks and suddenly a working appliance, tool or piece of furniture is "junk." Manufacturers stop stocking parts after a few years, and the only listings left online are used, overpriced or the wrong version.

3D printing changes that math. A part only has to be designed once, and then it can be printed in a material that's often tougher than the original.

Parts we commonly make

  • Appliance parts: knobs, dials, door handles, shelf clips, drawer slides and latches
  • HVAC and home parts: vent covers, thermostat brackets, cabinet hardware and blind parts
  • Electronics: battery doors, remote covers, cable clips, stands and mounts
  • Vehicle and outdoor: trim clips, interior covers, caps and mounts (weather-resistant materials available)
  • Tools and equipment: handles, guards, adapters, jigs and holders
  • Vintage and collectible items: one-off pieces for things that went out of production decades ago

How it works

  1. Send it. Upload photos from a few angles with a ruler or caliper in the shot. Include the brand and model if you know them. If you have a 3D file, even better.
  2. We quote it. We look at the part, pick the right material, and send a price and timeline. You approve before anything prints.
  3. We design it. The part is modeled in CAD from your measurements, with fit details like snap tabs and screw holes.
  4. We print and ship it. Supports removed, edges cleaned up, fit checked. It ships to your door anywhere in the U.S.

Getting good measurements

The better the measurements, the better the first fit. A few tips:

  • Use digital calipers if you have them. A ruler in the photo is the next best thing.
  • Measure hole spacing center-to-center, not edge-to-edge.
  • Photograph the part straight-on from the top, side and end, not at an angle.
  • Show where the part mounts, too. The mating part often matters as much as the broken one.

Not sure what to measure? Send what you've got. We'll tell you if we need anything else.

Which material is right?

We match the material to the job. Indoor cosmetic parts are usually fine in PLA. Parts that flex or take loads do better in PETG. Anything near heat or sunlight, like car interiors, should be ASA. Rubbery parts like bumpers and gaskets get TPU. Read the full 3D printing materials guide for details.

Common questions

Can you make a part without the original?

Often, yes. Clear photos with measurements plus the make and model are usually enough. If the broken pieces still exist, they help a lot.

How much does it cost?

Replacement parts start from $40. The price depends on how much design work the part needs, its size and the material. Every quote is free.

Is a printed part strong enough?

For most clips, knobs, covers, brackets and housings, yes. For safety-critical parts, we'll tell you honestly if 3D printing isn't the right fit.

Can you make more than one?

Yes. Once a part is designed, extra copies cost much less. Great for spares or for anyone else who owns the same model.
